We are pleased to announce that AFFIN Bank Berhad and AFFIN Islamic Bank Berhad have successfully onboarded the eConfirm platform. Effective June 10, 2024, both banks will now accept electronic bank confirmation requests through eConfirm.

Consequently, manual bank confirmation requests submitted to the branches will no longer be processed from the date of this notice. However, confirmation requests for audits of foreign companies by foreign auditors can still be sent to the branch where the account(s) are maintained.

If your firm has not yet registered with eConfirm, please complete the registration form and email it to [email protected]. Upon registration, we will provide complimentary training for your audit staff to facilitate the creation of your firm’s and clients’ profiles for submitting bank confirmation requests via eConfirm.

We encourage your firm’s active participation in eConfirm to take advantage of its benefits, which include saving time, conserving resources, and enhancing audit quality. This transition will also align Malaysia with the advancements in leading markets.
